Hi there. I’m Amy Lenahan and I'm glad you stopped by. People like to ask that question, the one that goes: if your house was on fire and you had to go back for just one thing, what would it be? I’d answer: my little blue journal. I’ve had it for many years and it’s not a diary sort of journal, but rather a collection of quotes, poems and passages from favorite books whose sentiments speak to my feelings and beliefs about life. This online version is a collection of my own thoughts and musings, my humble addition to the hardcover version of wise words I’ve amassed over the years.
Me? I'm a former Chicago interior designer who traded her urban digs for a rural-ish life on an island near Seattle. I have a swell husband, a delightful daughter and a dog who rocks my world. I like to write about all three of them, life here on Bainbridge Island, and just about anything that attempts to get at life’s great mysteries. I offer no answers, just observations and the occasional gratuitous dog photo.
